a jl w3d2 12'' has the power handling of 250w rms @ 4ohm, i have one and run it off a rockford punch 200.1 amp and it sounds the bollox for just one sub, sounds better thn most my mates 2 or 3 subs!:D oh my subs wired in parallel to reduce it to 2 ohms though!;)

sounds good DC. thanks for the reply. would it damage the amp at all or would it jsut not be stable?

700RMS might be a bit much for two 12inch W0s. could i just turn the gain down. would that be ok?

Im guessing its probably not 2ohm stabled when bridged but saying that niether r the Rockford 2 channel amps. I no a number of ppl that run such RF amps at 2 ohms with no probs. I wouldnt think u wud have a problem runnin the PG at 2 ohms.

As for increasing RMS yer it should do. If ya getting 400 at 4 ohms i would expect a figure of around 700 ish rms at 2 ohms

the second amp is 400 rms at 4ohms i believe. if i used a second w0 in parralel which would give me 2ohm load. would this be ok and would it increase the rms?

cool thanks mate. yeah my post picture is my car. still got alot planned for it.

Think i might get on of those phoenix gold amps. my head unit isn't very good though. has no preouts. i have taken wires of the rear speakers to create RCA output. would this be ok to put into an amp for a sub?

Hi guys. won a bid on ebay for a 12" JL audio sub in box. I believe it is a W0 and would be cool if it turned out to be a w3! :D

If its a w0 i thought i would either get of these phoenix gold amps:
Phoenix Gold Octane-R 2.5:2 or
Phoenix Gold Octane-R 4.0:2

i think the 4.0:2 would be the better one to go for the extra cash because i think it would have the ideal RMS for the w0 in single channel and would give me the option of getting a second. or i could run the w0 of the bridged output of 400rms. i'm new to all this so not sure what to do. some help please chaps
