Yeah you want to make sure you take the original GM bumpstops and fit them to your new rear dampers. What dampers are you using? The SPAX ones allready have the bumpstops fixed into them so no need to worry...

my -40 spax rear springs are fairly new and the middle coils dont touch but they rattle coz there very close. i reckon tho in a couple of month they'll compress more so they dont do this. any1 els had this problem

Yep, you will find that passengers in the back complain a lot more about a harsh ride than passengers in the front, the springs are smaller and have much less travel, which is a good thing because down 60mm if you had too much travel you would be saying goodbye to your tyres, and arch.

quote: you meen 60/30mm apex springs not 60mm all round, i have them. used to use pi60mm springs on the back but it was way to low so stuck the apex ones back on, i dont class the apex as 60mm atall.

Yes completely normal guys, only downer is they rot pretty quickly as the paint flakes off where the coils touch.

yes thats right, thats why you get shit handling and poor ride cos there is no suspention travel.

those are the softer coils that keep the spring 'trapped' at full extension.

I have 35mm springs on my car and i also noticed that the two big center coils are compressed even when the car is empty, but i think that it's normal.
