So long as the lamps are glass you'll be fine. When I changed my lamps I noticed the sticky stuff on the velco had baked onto the headlights with the heat, it easily comes off though with some white spirit

yeh its mainly because next year i have to give the car back to the dealer (a very long story) and i didnt want to do anything that would damge the headlamps too much but i may use clear silicon, or use the velcro if it can peel off easily

Or use the sticky backed velcro thats supplied with them? Why do you want to use something else? isnt the velco brand good enough for you :boggle:

I've seen it done when they are stuck onto the bonnet, why don't you want to stick them to the headlamps? If you use clear silicone its easy enough to take em off and 'peel' off the gel!
