It will probably damage it. It will just clip constantly, even when you turn the gains down to THE lowest setting, because your shoving too much in it just destorts. My mate found that out with a Pheonix Bass Cube once... | |

Alpine M500 claims to take 8.5V of input but I wouldnt fancy it LOL | |

suppose to, put as the saying goes - put in shite, you get shite coming out ;) So yea it does boost your preouts, but any imperfections on the signal will also be boosted. | |

They boost the output voltage of your RCA preout, usually to around 8vRMS. | |
