To be honest yes, they are pretty poor quality. Oh and the Car Audio Centre Nottingham/Manchester is run by crooks - believe me I KNOW. :lol:

Y do you say it like that mate.........Is it quite common with lanzar speakers???? Got them from my local ICE shop. Dont know y it has blown coz they have been in for a year and i always have them at the same volume. If its a common fault i will replace them with a different make.

Yeah check the resistance of the coil...

Lanzar components... yeah it will be a tweeter blown. Hope its not from the CarAudio/In Phase guys.... :o

They are lanzar components. The crackling is deffinatley comin from the tweeter. Is there any way to test a speaker with a multi meter to see if its broke?

if its an aftermarket tweater, check the connections are good. does sound like youve blown it tho

most probably! wot tweeter is it??
Try disconnecting it and then play your music to make sure it is actually your tweeter that has blown

Turned volume right up and the little bastard popped and now it sounds all crackly.
Is it fucked???:boggle:
