got it running just had to take spark plugs out just had to dry them off :thumbs: | |

was on the fone to well known garage in Lanarkshire he was asying that there was a temp switch(or something like that) and if the thing aint got water , trying to start ends up fludding the spark plugs the reason it wouldnt fire up and the heavy smell of petrol ... got told to take plugs out and dry them and try again..........anyone heared of this problem....... | |

check there is fuel at the injectors by pushin in the bleed nipple on the fuel rail | |

the engine will be flooded, take the plugs out dry them off leave the fuel to evaporate then try and start it | |

think iam getting a fuel feed as i can hear the pump goimg when i put ignition on and can smell petrol when trying to start it........ the smell was quite heavy.... | |

Once you get the basic diagnosis stuff out the way, do a compression test. | |

even if the head gasket was gone, or oil in the water it would still fire up. | |

the head gasket could of gone between a water gallery & the bore, so oil wont be contaminated. | |
