The new law came in on Jan 1st.
Its just an ammendment to include window tints in the measurement.
SEE HERE - check ammendment of regulation 32!
I got pulled before it came in so considering legal action.
My standard windscreen let 80% in (Legal min 75%).
My side windows only let 10% in (legal min 70%)

There's no limit on any windows which you cant see the road through (basicly anything behind the driver), but if your back window is blacked out you have to have a mirror on each side of the vehicle.
Im gonna go for graphics on the back of mine soon just to annoy the police!

i think with a bit of time u can heat them and scrape it off, but at the adge of the window it may be difficult, but i dnt fink it is an impossible task.

i dont want to REsell my tints i want to know how much it would cost to have them removed? do u literally need new windows?

Easy Ryan, all of the above is correct but you haven't seen any cars with the Windscreen tinted (well i doubt it) Cos i live in the same town and i haven't seen them.

I can sort out window tinting to local people

dont get pimp daddy dark tints, they look crap

and u wont be able to re-sell the tints, unless u sell all the windows there attached too lol

yes windscreens are factory tinted just like the rest of the windows on your car.

On corsa c's the windscreen lets in 70% light just like the rest of the windows AS STANDARD - I know this because i have had my winscreen tested by the police with a light meter. By law, your front side windows and windscreen must allow at least 70% light to pass through. Therefore, any tint other than the factory tint is illegal.

Also, strictly a clear film is also illegal as you are invalidating the e mark standard by altering the specification of the window.

no the windscreens will only looked tinted but i doubt that they really are. mine looks tinted cos of how dark inside the car actually is

car is ultra blue so ill prolly get 30% all round then, bit shocked bout the no tint on windscreen at all tho :! see so many ppl wit windscreen tinted, still rather save money and not get nicked !

L33 LEG

not sure about that mav but it shouldnt alter it too much.

all u need to know is kumba, is get 30% alround apart from ur windscreen, that is perfectly legal then

if your car happens to be black tho get the back windows fully tinted

Im not sure on this but if the windows have a slight tint as standard does this further restrict the amount of legal tint from the film you use?
