it shouldn't go off in valet mode, mine doesn't so i'd say dodgy wiring

So how can I disconnect the battery without the alarm going off then? The alarm shouldn't go off when its set to Valet mode, should it?

i meen the siren has its own battery so that if someone tries to silence it it goes off.

I tried to start my car New years eve and nothing happened! It tried to start on the initial couple of turns of the key, but it didn't sound as if there was enough power in the battery.
So I obviously put in the Valet code so I could disconnect the Alarm to charge the battery but as soon as I break the connection between the battery and the alarm it goes mental at me!
Any help?
-For some reason the Clifford light stays on constantly once its in Valet mode...:o
