its built into the motherboard i think so must be onboard

Is it on onboard sound card ? or is is a seperate card ?

it could also be a codec error. search google for codec packs if reinstalling your sound drivers doesnt work.

go in to control panel and click on system should tell u there

how do i find out? all i know is that its a 1.4ghz amd athlon

windows will scan your pc and give you a list of drivers for your machine

tried that as well i am sure its a Creative Soundblaster or something i have its a Time PC and its about 2yrs old so dont have a clue what drivers i need to update the thing

go to microsoft scan for updates and that should sort it

reinstall sound card drivers - if you know what card youve got try and get the latest drivers off the net

try reinstallin media player dunno if it will work but its worth a try
or
use a different player to play ur movies. Quicktime or summit.

when ever i try and watch a film on my pc the sound stops after the first 10-30mins and i have to restart the pc to get my sound back. Media player says there is this error.....Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000, i dont have a clue whats wrong and have tried many things already, it used to work fine
anyone got an idea whats wrong?
