Did you work out the proper port Adam or did you just shove a tube in? You'll find that a proper tuned port makes a BIG difference...

right i tried fibreglass and faild misrably :( so i got some hard board cut it to the height of the box "a big long strip" then screwed it to the posts all the way round then sealed it with sealent ported the box and put the sub in
it doesnt sound as good as my old box but now its out the way and hidden

ive decided to do that. ive been thinkin about it and im gonna to make a cylinder type thing the diameter of the wheel well and the correct hight to make it the right size,(im gonna make mine out of fiberglass and mdf) , i know most 10s needs a cubic foot but i cant remember how much most 12s need. but i think itīll prob be deeper than the wheel well so ill have it sticking out of a piece of mdf on the floor and using fiberglass and prob chicken wire ill make it a volcano type shape. whats the diamenter on the wheel well??

my friends mum had that done in a vectra looked mint.. dunno how they do it but i would be interested to know. So i can fit my 1 15" sub there and build the boot nice around it

Happy New Year to everyone!

Anyway I am considering a new install (the current one is functional but not much fun to look at) and I want to put my JL 12W3 sub in the spare wheel well so I have more space in the boot for amps & caps etc.

Whats the best way of lining the well to get a good solid enclosure that wont sound crap!!!

Cheers for any help - anyone know any websites that show this type of build???:boggle:

Cheers
