the pvd is a lifetime one, i just installed one of the pannel filters into my car (got it for 20£ in the pvd christmas offer :P) i have noticed that it pulls smoother, idles better, dont guzzle as much gas as it did, after 3200 rpm it picks up the power better.

i aint fused about the gains in brake but it makes the ride smoother so im happy.

Get one when you need one. The standard one needs to be replaced every so often, the PVD is cleanable so its lifetime (i think) :)

Like most aftermarket parts its less restrictive. You will find a slight increase in throttle response possibly.

I've got a K&N one in mine. It probably does nothing extra that you would notice, but it makes you feel as though it does. Its all about mind games I guess.:)
