Mine actually sat in about 2-4mm less than it was as standard. BEtween the backing plates of the drums and the axle, there were bits of metal sticking out that looked like small brake pads. WE grinded these off because the backing plates wouldn't sit flush on them, so that the axle was smooth. We then added the backing plates on. Grinding this metal saved between 2-4mm and the wheels deffo sit slightly further in now. :)

Also, we mangeged to user a few of the original holes to put the backing plate on. DIdn't weld the bolts in either, just welded over the original blank holes. USed the shorter handbrake cable from the Nova, and had not one problem since. 100% better braking and pedal feel too (V6 288mm front end).

If its been done right then there shouldnt be any difference at all, some people dont use the places and mess it all up which would make the wheels sit close in to the chasis...

Cavvy stubs longer? + spacer plate?
Just remembered that most rear drum vauxhall's use same rear wheel bearings so there stubs must be same/similar? :boggle:

A guy I know found his went out slightly on his corsa, he's on 17" Kahn RSR's with 40's, think his offset's close to the magic 49. Cavvy stubs longer? + spacer plate?

It shouldn't widen the track at all.

Im using 16x6 et49 on a nova with rear disks no problem. Its the same as before the disks were fitted.

When you use the cavvy spacer plates you kick the back wheels a wee bit futher out, say 10mm? Currently runnin on ET37 7x15 oz's with 45's whats the chances of it scrubbin like fuk? Thinking of using the plates to align the holes but not welding them on as once the bolts are torqued in place they aint gonna move? Arches already done. Any other peeps with rear disk conv's? What wheels size & offset u running? :boggle:
