why bother spending £250 on a sealed kit??? when you can make 1 for a fiver!!!
i got a ram induction filter with my conv kit. so i went to B & Q and got some aluminium vent trunking for £4.99 and it fits over the filter a treat.
its doing the exact same job as the viper but at a considerably less price :)

u know it makes sense :P

I've had green, it was awful.
Just got a 2nd hand Viper air filter, works superb, best £70 performance mod i've spent, its quiet (ish), no stuttering, picks up well, and fuel economy has been improved.

If you are gonna keep teh car for a while and want to keep it at its best, £250 is a lot of money, but its well well worth it on the 2.0 in a corsa becasue its so hot in there and Vauxhall engine shate exposed heat.

Well worth saving for a few months and paying the extra.

Or also theres the selaed BMC filters, same effect, but only aobut £150, worth trying?

Don't get an exposed filter though!!!!

If you can, try to modify an airbox to fit in the original place instead? I wish i had the tools to try it!

Foam filters always sound better than cotton-gauze filters by the nature of their design, but a good percentage of the C20XE's run badly when they get a whiff of hot air from the engine bay, so you might want to consider one of the sealed unit air filters.

With the PiperX Viper for example, the direct cold air feed maximises the cool air whist the carbon fibre stops ambient hot air getting into the system.

Not a sales plug to get more ppl spending £250 rather that £70 at all!!

 Vipers are worth it if u can afford it.

Its got to be a ram air induction kit. The foam material gives it an unmistakable roar. Perfect for the valver because the ram air takes care of the midrange power unlike the k and N induction Kit. You have to rev the nuts off the k and N to see the benefits of it.
if you've got a spare £250 go pipercross viper for ultimate power gains.
Make sure your xe gets plenty of cold air via decent piping or the induction kit gets very warm!
