Pump is still in my car. Get a fuel pressure gauge and check your pressure!

I was advised to get a fuel pressure rgulator for my 20xe. i've got cams, pullies, chip, port and polish, full stainless system even manifold, induction kit, power cap to list just a few bits. I went to the dyno without one and then i had a fuel pressure regulator fitted.Throttle response awesome and before didn't like high revs as much.Goes to seven grand with ease. The standard regulator is worth getting rid of. Fit one and it will solve your problems. It makes the fuel pump through the system 1.7 times faster than a standard and also it is adjustable. The standard regulator cant supply the fuel needed at high revs. Ive got 185bhp and 175lb ft torque. The power is strong from start to finish. You need one to get the most out of the stock injection.

Check your fuel pressure then. I bought a new fuel pump (fse motorsport one) because I though mine was broken, but it turned out to be a blocked fuel filter / crap in fuel line between pump and filter.

How do you know its running lean?

Could be fuel filter. Or an air leak........

schrick cams, courteny Grp N chip sfi replacement cap, induction kit (RAM AIR) full custom power flow exhuast no cat.. from wot i no but the guy that had the engine in the astra b4 me said it was knocking around the 175 mark this was confirmed by Power Engineering

you shouldnt need an uprated pump. Not for 175 bhp. Whats done to this engine you have now to get it running 175bhp

mmm will have to look at that or maybe get an uprated pump ??? the car was left for 9 months on axel stands while i was changing the Knackered C20XE ( Blown By NOS) to the engine thats in there now. The engine this is in there came from an Astra 16v gte which i test drove prior to removing the engine and the thing was fast as hell.. so the only dfference i can think of between the 2 is the fuel pump

could be. Start the engine, and ask a mate to listen under the rear of the car, a distinct buzzing should be heard from the pump. If it sounds abnormal, i could be the pump blocked.

unless the pump is faulty or blocked ??

you might want to find the cause of running lean first. injectors/pump should be fine for 170bhp.

Schrik Cams, Group N Chip, Ram Air Filter, Custom Exhaust No Cat , SFI Replacement Unit, The 190 needs changing that was on the old engine i think this 1 is running around the 170-175 mark

lots............c20xe running 190ish brake??
anyways stu, you may find the power boost valve works, but if it dont, you may need bigger injectors, or an uprated fuel pump......surley tom will be able to sort it out??
