yeah I know. that was the recommendations on my pipercross but i used to clean it every few thousand miles...why i don't know..:o

think i will just oil it up instead of washing it out.

i just put it where the original airbox was. straight swap. it was a very very big puddle tho and i went through it at about 50. there was a shit load of steam pouring out when i opened the bonnet

You could just use an air line to blow most of the dust and dirt out - be careful around the seam on the foam though as you don't want to blow the filter apart!

Where you put your filter for it to get covered in poo like that. Only problems is blocking off bits of the filter. dry it out and get rid of the muck

i went through a really big puddle the other day and all the bottom of mine was covered in mud and crap. as well as the whole thing being soaking wet. will the cause any problems?

is the filter gonna get dirty enough to cause a restriction?
I've got a pipercorss foam airfilter good for 450BHP or something silly, mean it would have to be 70%+ clogged to casue a airflow problem. and can an airfilter get that dirty?

In my old kit it is dirt retention oil u have to spray on once it's clean.

How u do it?

I've got my old cleaning kit from my pipercoss foam filter on axgt.

Same way to clean..
HAs retention oil and cleaning lotion in kit..

Instructions on that said to run under water from inside out to get rid of dirt then spray cleaner on it...Gently massage cleaner into filter.
Leave to dry then oil it up...

Same way?

Think it will take ages to dry like..
