Not that expensive! Agreed EBC are utter sh1te. Brembo Maxi discs - £80 fot the 2.0l ATE and Mintex 1144 pads are £65 - miles better setup:D

No no no. If you want decent disc go with brembo or tarox. Both very expensive but evos and skylines have em as standard for a good reason.

EBC discs are absolute cack. They warp far too easily. If you are not pushing big power, stick to astra GTE discs and calipers with GM pads.

dont get grooved disks, they are a waste of time on a road car

get a decent set of cross drilled disks

I bought the EBC 'Turbo-grooved' discs with Greenstuff pads and was initially very happy with the result. You get the 'whirring' noise everytime you step on the brakes from the grooves and the stopping power felt improved. Although, I found they do not like very hot operating temperatures and bend a tad too easily for my liking. Mine were on for nearly 8 months and one disc had cracked slightly causing juddering, along with increasing 'brake fade'. This may have been an anomaly but I would not buy them again based on this experience.

Shall i get some EBC drilled & grooved brake discs & some EBC greenstuff pads?
Please help me decide whether or not to get these. Or shall i get some standard vaux ones, or another make like black diamond.
Cheers Ness :)
