Or you could make life easy on youself by doing the job
right, remove the oil filter get some grips onto the threaded part
the filter screwed onto when this is unscrewed the cooler
housing comes off, then you replace the filter thread with the
standard length thread part no 90144360-about £3.50 from
vauxhall dealer (put some threadlock on it ,engine side of the
thread only) nip it up and replace oil filter as normal.
This is how me and many others run theirs , but if I was going
to do a lot of track days I'd mabey keep the cooler on .
For road use its fine without it no probs

I f ay remove the oil cooler just get a pipe connector piece so the oild still circulates, but i would use the oil cooler if i was you it is there for a reason, just extend the pipes and fix the oil cooler near the rad so it gets a good air flow

Feck me, a 20 litre engine!

It would be worth while to leave the oil cooler plumbed in and mount it at the front of the car.

Can anyone who done the 20L 16v engine con into corsa tell me what to do with the oil cooler off the 20L,leave it behind or use it on corsa?
If i left it behind what do i do about the two holes that it used to be piped into on the engine next to the oil filter, would i have to plug them if so would the oil still circulate?

Cheers.:boggle:
