get a central locking motor from passenger side and wire that up mate. where you getting boot done

i am thinking about getting my number plate recess smoothed off and the boot lock taken off. i was specking to a macanic and he said that they do not make a boot puller to open the boot from the inside. he said you can get one out of a rover 214 but it will be expencive to fit because it takes along time to make the bracket. i was thinking about a solernoid, where can u get these from and how much? and what have all u guys done?
advise needed please
