ages back on CS. i know 1.4 16vs kick in at 100c coz mine does too. but sum1 sed their 1.2 kicks in at about 90ish. can any1 verify this? | |

its the fan switch, a temp sensor in the rad. The themostat sits at the top of the rad, it keeps the rad closed until the engine has reached a certain temp, then opens the rad so it can cool down. It helps the engine warm up quicker. | |

use a thermostat from a 1.2 in a 1.4 16v..... |
