when you get the orange EML light, you can plug the car into a piece of hardware to tell you the problem or, do a paperclip test, you bridge two connections (depending on your plug it varies which connections), and turn the ignition to setting 2 and it flashes a code at you, which tells you what is wrong.

yes, could also be too much air in the system, causing unstable revs, I get this at the minute as my inlet is only half bolted on.:lol::thumbs: totally drivable though

My mate's corsa has started playing up.

sometimes on tickover the engine revs for no reason and the engine management light comes on... any ideas where to start?
he's not had it on diagnostics yet as he is skint....just wondered if it was a common fault?
