Yes mate, thats why its called a `throttle position sensor`. it sensor`s the position of the butterfly underneath the power cap:thumbs:

That sounds like the screw on the air flow meter mate. The unit itself might need adjusting properly or might be broken all together.

hi everyone im writing in a new post to just ask if the throttle positioning sensor on the early 20xe engine is located at the side of the power cap at the throttle body??????i hav pics put cnt seem to find a way of uploading them on to here.also if it is the pts im looking at there is a hole at the side of it with a screw in it,if i turned this up and down wud it cause the engine to stop misfiring???also the car absolutley stinks of petrol wen ticking over due to misfire,any help please!!!!!thanks
