mines doing exactly the same.
Took it in today, they said it was the k&n causing it. As the fault was the air mass meter.
I'm not convienced as the k&n has been on for about two years, gonna put the standard air filter back on tommorrrow

isnt there a fuse to the ECU?? surely removing that would drain the backup!

You shouldn't get shocked if all the electrics are turned off before you disconnect. Just don't do anything daft thats gonna short circuit the terminal like dropping a spanner :)

similar questions have been asked b4 i know, but could not find all the answers i need.

my car revs at 1500rpm when idle and warm, will resetting the cu fix this u think? will it give a smoother ride?

Also, do i take everything off the neg. terminal? or is there just 1 pin i gotta take off...?

aslo, am i gonna get shocked? lol :o
