the forged ones are actually stampled Mahle underneath...the cast ones arent.

picking the whole c20xe up on tuesday. it's a late type coilpack with 80K on it

where is best place to get overbores from?

yeah but only problem now is most blocks need an overbore. but £25 is about the going rate tbh:thumbs:

yea i've been offered a set and they have 86P31W2 empossed underneath. They would be to replace the pistons in a coilpack C20XE which i presume would have non forged.

So are these a good buy for £25?

early xe pistons were forged later were cast. are you building it stock or to take cams, etc?

i think if look under the piston by the gudgeon pin, there are some casting numbers. if have 86p im pretty sure there the forged mahles.

they are just the original xe pistons

looking at some mahle pistions for a c20xe

are these any good or are they just standard?
