Why not try using a friend map sensor off another vaux?
Only 2 plastics nuts, an electric plug and vacuum connector.
Dont know if there all the same size sensor.

Recently there was a post on here about someone having a problem and the fault code came up MAP sensor however when they changed it it made no difference? Did they ever fix it? Can anyone find the thread or tell me who it was as I cant find it.

I have a problem with a 1.4 spi astra 95, and the scanner reads map sensor voltage high.
Problems with the car are excessive fuel usage and then occasionally lumpy tickover and cutting out.
