What are the figures in RMS? power caps do help up to a point but if they are RMS figures then go for a bigger alternator, a power cap wont help on bass tones over a second long.

get what u can afford, yeh a 1.2 should be fine
i was using a 1.5 with 2 990watt amps and 2 800watt subs
stops the lights dimming if anything

most people slate them or say there no good, nut worked for me

I'm looking into getting a power cap for my install for two reasons;

1) It isn't doing my battery any favours

2) they look cool :lol:

I'm running around 1000W through my subs and 500W through 6X9's atm but hoping to upgrade to more powerfull subs when money allows.

I've been told that a 1.2 farad would be plenty for what I have at the moment but I don't really want to fork out for a bigger one once I upgrade the subs.

By getting a 2 Farad (or whatever), would it make any difference that what I have at the moment while it's running only 1500W ish?

Cheers
