I think it will be the fuel tank vent valve it has two wires pluged into it and two vacuum pipes, this is a delco remy unit | |

im 99% sure the astra engine is different to the corsa one, think it has a different inlet manifold so you cant put one of those performance ones on :( | |

my only other guess is an engine immobiliser, or some kind of sensor. Try www.migweb.co.uk, they are the daddies when it comes to technical stuff on all things vauxhall :) | |

possibly the ECU. AC Delco is a brand of GM that supply all the GM parts to Vauxhall. Is the XEL unit out of the Astra mk4? | |
