Been looking for a search facility but cant find one so made a thread

basically my corsa 1.4 16v sport has been off the road for around 4 months, and every time its needed to be started its done so off the button, ran perfectly everytime etc

Now we've changed the steering rack on it and the front end has been up on axle stands for around a week

After everything was sorted took it out tonight, fired it up, wouldnt idle, engine management light came on etc, then started to idle fine, no drop in performance however it feels a little jurky

Now the engine management light then went out and the car cut out

so when engine management light is on it idles fine, when its off it wont idle

After the car has been running fine with idle if you switch it off, then turn it back on it does the same thing, not idling properly until you drive it for 30 seconds then its fine

anybody shed any light, im not wanting to spend big money on it, and im hoping its just a sensor has maybe been unplugged

any help and advice is GREATLY appreciated, thanks
