quote: you will need higher poundage springs and dampers that have a matched damping rate to the springs. I do a few kits that will do the job.

quote: All I can do is check for general wear on the springs. Do I need different poundage due to engine weight then? Would be able to advise me on what shock to try?

ok at the end of the day if you think its too soft then change them, simple as..next is that it probz looks lower than 40mm because of the weight of engine

quote: I didn't say I would check to see if they were the right poundage. I'm no suspension expert. I meant simply to check if they also need replacing.

how do you plan on checking the springs to see if they are the right poundage?

quote: To be fair, I'm not sure as the suspension was on the car when I bought it. All I know is that the front end is too bouncy so either shocks are foked or I just need some stiffer ones. I shall check springs too and decide whether I need to change them. Any advice on shocks?

The shocks on my LET are far to soft on the front. It is apparently lowered 40mm but looks lower. Could this be down to extra weight from the lump? What shocks would people recommend? I would like real firm ones to stop the front dipping so much. Any advice? Spax adjustables look good but are £110 a corner! |
