Quick temps rising are notorious on Corsa's, as long as the fan kicks in, don't worry.

But if you are worried and can bare it (it's tough in this hot weather), put your heaters on fully hot and fan speed 4. Acts like a heat sink and the temp needle goes down rapidly.

But as long as the fan is kicking it, that is fine :)

ive got a x14xe...let it warm up slighty before driving...never do any harm to it. Drive it slow (low revs) when it gets to 90/92 ish then drive normally:thumbs: fan kicks in between 98/99/100 on mine...fan kicks in 4 times from work to home as stuck in traffic lots...coolant is cheap and easy to drop...vauxhall say the coolant is for "the lifetime of the car" but exactly how long is this??? lol...why not drop it and ure learn how to drop the coolant in the future ;)

No, just drive it normally - don't thrash it before its been up to temperature for a few minutes.

should you let your car warm up before driving?

My old 1.0 would always have the fan kick in about 93/94 (ie. before it got up to 95) and would run until it got back down to 90.

Can get quite high in traffic. I wouldn't worry. I was told up to 97 is totally fine too.

My car runs at about 92 because it's warmer

Mines always sat about 95 regardless.
But my headgaskets away now :(

Sounds about right, if the car isn't moving then theres no air flowing into the front of it. Mine is usually 90 when at stand still and then 60/70 on quick driving

hey folks my car has always run at about 90 or below on the temp reader but yesterday when idling for like 10 mins the temp shot up to 95 and took a lot of motorway driving for it to chill a bit. do i need to change coolant or something or am i just overly worried?

cheers lads
