TBH, remove plastic arch, get angle grinder, grind just below spot welds refit, sorted.

Agree with that, iam running ET38 with 195/50/15 with a 40mm drop & with the arch mod & trimming the plastic arch dont get any rubbing even with three up:thumbs:

hi...I'm new to the forum, when I get round to it I'll put some pictures of my car on....anyway it has standard suspension and the wheels I've just put on are 17x7 (tyres 205/40 r17)with et35 offset :!

.....they don't rub but if I lowered it they would......they fill the arches and in my opinion look fab!

as I said, I'll add some photo's later.

38s can be fitted you just need to remove the rear arch bolts and fold the lip over to stop it catching, et49 dont always work lol just put 195/45 16s on mine on a 7j rim et49 and they are rubbing the front archs away with a 60mm drop, gone throught the arch liner in 2 days lol

As said, et38 will scrub day long. Maybe stretching some 165s over them might stop the scrubbing? (Wouldn't recommend it but its another alternative)

i would try get some a bit more vaux friendly mate et 38 is way out you want to get as close to et 49 as poss

helo there av got 195/45/15s and all they do is scrape all the time the offset is et38 do u think ad b best off geting some proper vaux ones the cars lowered 60mil on the back and dint have a clue bout the front but the dampers are as hard as they go but still no luck cheers
