the EML doesnt always have to show for the car to know it has a fault, just needs to happen and the cars brain will log it.

nah the CMP only controlls at first start up, when No:1 injector fires.
have you tryed doing the paper clip test as this should tell you what the problem is?

hmmm if your not getting any spark at all then i'd try the CKP sensor, be warned tho they aint that cheap, about £35 for one. or pop down a scrappy and get one off them.

what engine is in the car?

try cleaning the crank sensor with some break cleaner. you might find that it has a load of cruddy oil over the tip and isnt picking up propperly

My car lost all power and conked out! i found that the rocker gasket ad gone and there was oil all over the Ht leads and plugs! so i repaired this with new gaskets and i also sorted out my leaking oil pump gasket! after months of messing about ive finaly finished and put everything back! Now i thought the original problem was the oil all over the leads etc! but now with new gaskets and new spark plugs etc the engine still wont start!! ive tried two different coil packs as well! but no look still no spark!!! Could it be crank sensor? or any other ideas? ive tried to see if i get a spark with an old ht lead i ave laying around and one off my mums focus so its not the HT leads.

:boggle:
