The rumours that I'm Vicki at weekends are gonna start now....

No worries, bushes are all stock items.

Good luck with it :)

damn got all excited then, thought I had attracted the attention of the lovely Vicki .

Anyhow I didnt get a fitting guide for the 8V, thats what led to the confusion about the spacer ring things between the CV and the bearing. But I can now remove the driveshaft etc in about 30 seconds flat after all the stress I had working that out!! should have just rung you earlier. my missus killed me that day as took the phone oputside and got it covered in CV grease, ended up throwing it away and had to buy a new home phone, dman smell wouldnt go away, felt sick every time I made a phone call

:lol::lol:

thanks for that, will probably be in contact during the week as after some bushes etc for the suspension on the new car.

No worries, I'll get a fitting guide in the post for you now. It's not much different for the 16v from the 8v but this kit runs through the differences, so it might make life a little easier.

We usually stock the power caps, they do sell very well however. I've a delivery due in on Wednesday which has one or 2 spare I believe, so if you're gonna need it just let me know. Price is £119 inc VAT.

would appreciate that Pete, I shouldnt have any probs as I fitted and wired and made the exhaust etc for the 8v, but this way can leave the paperwork with the car for the guy and he then has some help if he has any problems. ( And will remember to put the big washer spacer things in the right place this time LOL )

The 16 V turbo conversion I was planning has now fallen thru, spoke to someone at PVD about the mounts etc and they were very helpfull, the guy who wrote the cally off is now claiming on insurance somehow so I cant get me hands on his engine DAMN

Just in case I need it, do you stock the power caps, as doesnt really matter to me what it costs to install this engine as he's paying for it all.

Beardy - the 2.0 16v Ecotec pipe is 12 quid, a Powercap isn't. That was all I was saying.

Tony - I getcha! The only differences between the 8v and 16v fitting kit are the powercap and a different air filter adaptor. Have you got a 16v fitting/wiring guide? If not give me a shout and I'll post you one.

Hi pete, its my old car that the engines going into, its fitted with the 2.0 8v so the mounts and shafts are there (courtesy of PVD)but obviously not the power cap, the guy thats bought it wants a 16V in it, so thats what Im doing for him and making some money from it as well.

as for the 2.0 16v Ecotec pipe there 12 nots from vauxhall.....? so why can u not get one.............? dose the same job.........?

all u have to do is make a plate which at the most if u had someone make it about a 10er

The SFi box fits in a Nova with a bit of chopping, in a Corsa it's far too tight.

You can't buy a Powercap for 12 quid, you can get a 2.0 16v Ecotec inlet pipe which with a modified plate can fit. Regal have been selling these for 95 quid for years....

If your mate has done the wise thing and bought a M Tech conversion kit then the Powercap is included :)

Hi, due to be fitting a 16v engine to a mates corsa in next couple of weeks, does the SFI box fit under the bonnet, or is the powercap required, the hose coming off the top looks like a bit of a wrong angle to me, so is the powercap just a mod to improve airflow, or is it needed to make the hosing clear the underside of the bonnet,

anyone got any comments about these cap things
