Make sure it is registered as a 2.0 1st of all...

You just have to somehow make sure it's a solid conversion done with the right parts...I had my 2.0 corsa for a year and never had any problems with the conversion except as slight leak from sump.

tbh there are many factors about this subject.

me personally would not worry about the police if the car has got an MOT, tax and insurance for beeing a 2.0 conversion. my freind is a police man and he had a XE van, he could tell if you had a 2.0 sitting in the bay as other police men/officers would never check or no.

i would not buy a 2.0 conversion car myself as my luck it would be a problem waiting to happen. not saying all conversions are riddled with issues but some are pretty home made and can be quite dangerous !
