was thinking this might sort it. it had a new sump gasket (so new oil and filter at the same time) not too long ago so i might get some copper grease on the leads and see if that does it

Give it a good service, change plugs, leads, oil/filter, air filter

Hey there. MOT time end of the month so typically, something has gone wrong with the last 11 months being fairly trouble free :rolleyes:
Its a 1.4SRI (8v), no mods or anything, when starting from cold the car shakes like its struggling to get fuel or the choke isnt working properly. If you rev it up to 3k a cople of times it fixes itself and its fine when starting warm.
