speakers one with cover on and one without

I'll take your advice and use both crossovers. There'll be space for two on the door when its done.

Yeah, use both or u'll do what i did. blow the X-Overs. Running them thru one will work, but your working the x-ova at double what it should be and putting it under great strain. Running it thru two would be a much better idea.

youll need to use both crossovers, cos youll end up damaging the amp.

Yeah, i think i would use both crossovers with that setup, its going to sound a bit good that i reckon!!

Would be worth upping the amp after time tho, but will be fine for now just watch for any distortion in the mean time!

Good luck

Eyup Dave C. I'm fitting my own door pods and when I manage to dowload the pics I'll put a couple up to show you.
The components are the new Rockford Fanatique. If you've seen them, there the ones in the titanium finish with a VERY funky looking crossover.
I'm fitting two sets on either side (must be mad, they cost a fortune!!!)
The amp,at the mo, is a MTX 200wt and I dont know if it will do the job till I get them all fitted and wired up. It it doesnt, then I'll have to get another!!!
More money :(
I can always ask at RAM. Or I could just fit both.
Ta anyways

Hi claire,

Strictly speaking you don't need to use 2 crossovers but in reality would sound better and be a little more controlable if you do.

I imagine space is a premium tho! What X-over is it? and what amp is running it and the speakers? i would have thought it would run 2 sets of components okay.

i dont think you can, i think the crossovers are only rated for one speaker only, otherwise you may risk blowing components on the xover

.... when fitting two sets of components in each door, or can I run both sets of speakers through one unit?
Thanks
Claire
