well the ignition swith is at the end of the barrel so i was thinking it might be open ended at the other end if i can get that off. its the last 3/4 " that broke off i was lucky to get both bits in and start it cos i was miles away from home not got a spare key either :(

If theres non sticking out to get a grip on, your pretty much fucked. Best bet is to remove the ignition barrel assembly and have a jiggery pokery.

did a stupid thing last night tried to use my key to prod something and snapped it. i managed to wegde both bits in the ignition and start the car but half of it is stuck in now. ive ordered a new key from vauxhall. just wondering if anyone has any tips for removing the stump from my ignition not really had much chance to inspect it yet
