to late lol i bought a knock sensor this morning and fitted it and so far the eml hasn't come on

no. dont repalce any of the sensors yet.

give the crank sensor and pulley a good clean and check the wiring is ok, quite a common fault at this time of year due to all the shit on the roads to get salty deposits, grit all over that area, especially if there is a slight oil leak.

the knock sensor fault will probably be caused by the faulty crank sensor signal causing a slight missfire and upsetting the KS signal.

doesn't sound like cranksensor then

try replacing the knock sensor first

the car has never cut out and oil level is fine

will be knock sensor give it a swap with a second hand one other one is probably thrown up because of the knock sensor

ive done a paperclip test and it's says crank sensor and knock sensor but it comes on and off every few minutes
