do you no how t do the paper clip test? there are heaps of posts about it if you use the search function. if you find the code i will see if i can find out what it means.

have asked about the paper clip test before and never got much feed back,the car runs fine not connected but the engine management light stays on.:D:D

vauxhall sell them for £10.19. did it show any faults with the paper clip test

so now that it runs fine not connected,do you thin this could be my problem.I tryed to get the part from lucus and part co and they have none in stock?:o:o

the cts lets the ecu no when your engine is cold. the ecu then throws in more fuel than usual until it warms up. if it is broken it will think it is running cold all the time and throw in heaps of fuel hot or cold. making your car overfuel a stupid amount.

disconected cts and runs fine,what is the point of the cts if it runs ok without it.:)

sounds like the same problem i have, i am away to change the coolant temp sensor tomorrow. will let you no how i get on.

That might help its a 1.4 16v sport.Is this sensor a normal problem?

What Car is it mate...And have u changed the CTS(Coolant Temp Sensor) ..?

Hi again somemore advice please,change idle control valve two weeks ago and the car was running fine again.But now i can run the car for as long as i like with no trouble but as soon as i turn it of and leave it for five mins and start back up it drives like a sack of potatoes.Same sort of problems as the icv again,car wants to cut out revs stay on 3000rpm for about 10 sec.Any advice would be good.:thumbs:
