Only need to use acid to get powdercoat off. Nasty nasty stuff. Pay a few quid more and get them powdercoated after. Cheaper and harder wearing than paint :)

My alloys are gonna need to be sandblasted or acid dipped to get them back to the metal. Which would be better and any ideas where I can get it done (eg. a nationally known company with a place near me). Also, how much is it likely to cost?
