(that headgasket isnt on the way out)
just look for smoke and mayo in the cap then or is there any other ways to check

check the clutch is ok and that headgasket isnt on the way out.

check history for not only cambelt but that the water pump and idler rollers have been done.
if not done they will need doing. prob be about a couple of hundred notes for that if it hasn't.

Cracks in the b pillars, I think later cars don't suffer as much though. Door pins could creak, about 50p to get replacements though.

Look at the steering wheel and gear nob too to see if the wear and tear looks about right for the mileage.

rite im going to look at a 98 1.6 16v corsa sport tonight.
is there any major problem areas i should be lookin at,i know the around the rear wiper and stuff like that goes already
