2.0 conversion all the way, with genuine disks and pads. Makes such a difference, even if your car is only a 1.2 :)

When your on the subject of brakes, do u think it's worth while goin for the 2l conversion or just goin for upgraded discs an pads, like ebc or somethin?

Cheers, Graeme

They normally meed easing on and off with a plastic faced mallet anyway...

Some of the stuff in my brake conversion tutorial might be relevent with regards to getting the disks off, though you just need to undo the caliper bolts rather than the carriers.

Hope the last person done this too, or it'll be "hit it with a big hammer "time

Make sure you put copper grease on the backs of the pads and on the back of the new disk too to prevent it all binding together.... :)

you dont need to touch the sliders

I thought it was a 7mm allan key for the sliders. It's the size you don't get in allan key sets

when the callipers off u can just slide them out the middle where the disc would usually be.

My bad, depends how you do it. I usually take the caliper off the carrier so i'd need 2 different sizes.

no u dont. just use the 10 to take the calliper off. no need to undo the slider when the callipers off

2 different size allen bolts though. One that hold the caliper on is 8mm and the one that holds the carrier is 10mm. or 10 and 12, cant remember but you will need 2 different sizes.
