it did have water in,just after i used the pvc tape it was slowly dripping. | |

wouldnt fancy doing a head gasket change on your engine after driving 20 miles with minimal water | |

i did this once om my 16v lol......water pump seal gave up bout 15mile from my house :( | |

i drove it home after,it still had some water in the system...just not as much as before it burst lol...i went to the nearest garage and bought some pvc tape,rapped bout 60 layers round then bought a bottle of water.got me home and thermo gauge didnt move | |

You drove it home for 20 miles without water? The water never overheated as there was nothing there to register on the guage! Engines probably a paperweight now! | |

my fan is wired up to a switch aswell because valvers warm up quick ,at least wen its on a switch u can feel more piece of mind knowin that u can leave it on as long as u want | |

yes think this is the pipe that usually goes wen they over heat, i no two people that stay beside me that this has happened.:! u dont want to be driving it with no water in the tank either,:! switch ur fan on at about 94,better to be save than sorry?;) | |
