mine came labeled for a 1.4/1.6 8v. I rang sbd and they told me they were the same for the 16v.

The 8v and 16v ones are different as far as I was aware, ARP list a set for the 1.3 8v and a set fo the 16v engines, looking at the conrods they are different fitment.

ive a set of these in the cubboard somwere... along with all the other bits of 1.6 16v i've clooected and never used:lol:

what rev limit you got, i had 7200rpm on standard rod bolts and never had a problem

i just thought they had to be percifically for the 16v ones and was not sure if the xe ones were too wide or something.

i have looked all over the place on the arp site for these for a 1600 16v engine with no luck.
all they seem to have is 2l xe ones a 1.6 8v for a nova.

can anyone tell me what i am supposed to use.

got cams and also chipped ecu with higher rev limiter and dont fancy dropping its guts every where.

any suggestions please.
