My Pioneer keys didn't fit.

Had to use a screwdriver to get it out. Was a bit of a bitch but got it done eventually.

if so

get two flat knifes, remove the facia surround of the stereo and as long as it isnt bolted in slide the knifes between the unit and cage each side

then the unit will slide out

should work as the JVC keys are flat with dimples in the end

Didn't realise Pioneer & JVC were the same type of keys

The holes looked different to those on my Pioneer HU.

I've got a couple of sets of Pioneer keys as I have Pioneer headunits. Will give them a try

Need to take the JVC headunit out of my cousins car as she has a new car now.

She has thrown the box away that the headunit originally came in so doesn't have the keys to remove it!

Went to Halfords and they dont have the right sort of keys. Everything but the ones I want

Will I be able to stick a couple of small screwdrivers down the holes and it'll pop out?
