yup.... the release arm is just solid (in the direction to disengage the clutch)

mince - my as well pop on a shorter ratio 1.6 box :)

Was needing a new clutch anyway

so theres no movement in the clutch pedal or its very stiff.

obviously the 'spring' that gives the resistance to the clutch pedal is the release bearing pressing onto the clutch cover plate.

Got a BE1 gearbox...

Clutch cable snapped on track on sat, taking out the rad in the process.

Fitted a new clutch cable this afternoon, but it doesnt seem to be doing as planned

The release arm isnt budging at all (towards the battery) It has some play in it (up, down, back), but nothing like a full pedal depress.

suggestions.... The cable follows the same route as old one... the pedal is mega mega stiff! .... because the arm appears to be stuck
