All 16valve engines into the Corsa B are Ecotec engines, even the C16XE. they are all in the same group called GM Family 1 Ecotec.

yeh its a feature just a little thing that whizzes and heats the cat up quicker so the cat works better so the car gives off less emissions, i dont think removing it will get you any more Bhp but it will get rid of that annoying whirring noise on start up.

Hi guys, hows it going? My mate was telling me he was going to get his car "de-ecotec'd" and it would give him an extra 10bhp. He has a 1.4 sport. i have a 1.6 sport and was wondering if you can actually do this and if u can does it actually benefit you or will it fuck my engine? Cheers dudes and dudettes |
