Oh hang on, you could use Tigra dials which take a reading from an ABS sensor if you wanted to.

you can use a digidash transducer, which has a gear similar to a speedo cable, but then a box on the top which translates the rotations into a speed :)

You need some mechanical clocks, or the old style electronic clocks. The new style clocks will not work with the older style gearboxes as they read the speed in a different way.

Basically, what you want to do is get a set of cable operated clocks.

Also, the rev counter off of a 1.0 engine'd car won't work properly.

yeah i have rev counter. that would be good if i could aquire them;)

will they work with the XE?

IF i remember right, 12v clocks wont work properly, RPM will overread. BUT your in luck, provided you have rev counter clocks, i have a set in the garage (4cylinder engine ones) which have no plastic front cover (but you could swap your one onto it)

I have eletronic clocks, XE is cable how will this work:lol:

Also my clocks are 12v ones will this make any difference?
