Is it not displayed as 2 digits on the cam cap for example 90 in a little box? As mine does.

1 - doesnt need access to the boot. only drivers door.

2 - if it is declared with the DVLA as a 2.0 16v then they will have the engine number on the system. all mots are now computerised and the tester gets all the info on the car from the DVLA so they should be able to see that the engine is pre 92

looking at putting car in for mot soon just wondering if anyone knows if it will fail on the dehandled boot as i dont have a solonoid fitted and just lift up the small bar to open it?
also its a valver and i have it on the logbook as a 2ltr but how do i prove too them its before a 1992 cause i have no cat and all i have is the engine number- do they go by that number ??
