drilled the airbox and fitted a pipercross panel filter on my 1.2 C. sounds much nicer now with a subtle deep roar between 2-3k rpm. not noticed a difference in fuel economy nor performance.

Ive put an induction kit on my 1.8 sri and fuel economy is awful now :(

i drilled the air box on my 1.2 16v (corsa c)
i couldnt really hear much of a roar due to volume of my exhuast, however my mate did his and it did sound nice.if your goin to the trouble of taking the air box out to drill it,then also take out the pipe in the top of the box and take the top off the bottom pipe and put a k&n or similar in,it will make the car breathe more freely.also if you want more of a roar dont put the intake pipe back on.

i fibre glassed all my holes back up s the car was getting to much hot air and drank petrol like it was going out of fassion

I keep hearing ppl talking about drilling their airbox - but as usual people seem to say different things. I know if i do this it won't improve performance, but what I am after is a decent sound - sounds ok as is - but want more roar from under the bonnet.

Has anyone else drilled their airbox on a 1.8 SRi? What was the effect?

Also, once the 'box is drilled do you have to reset the ecu?

Any help would be much appreciated. :D
