ah, so its not the one that sends the temp to the gauge that effects everything?

the temp gauge reading comes off a single blue wire (iirc) that just sits on top of a sensor at the front of the manifold.

the cts basically sends the temp to your ecu so it is an important sensor and would certainly cause the problems your having

I have also been told it could be this sensor.

Its a cold sart sensor which is located on the back of the manifold

Car has being doing this for a while now.

When you start the car from cold it starts and idles at 1,000rpm. But it sounds as if its struggling to hold this. Also if you drive straight away the auto choke doesnt seem to stay on for long enough.

I have already replaced the collant temp sensor but has made no effect.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
